Export controls and restricted-party lists
Sanctions are only half of export compliance. TradeProtected also screens the export-control side: China MOFCOM’s export-control and unreliable-entity lists, the EU export-control annex, and the US entity and denied-party lists — 27,399 entries in total.
Export control is not sanctions
A party can be perfectly free of sanctions and still be barred from receiving a controlled item. Those two questions have separate lists and separate legal bases; checking only the sanctions half leaves the export half unanswered.
China’s lists, included
China MOFCOM’s unreliable-entity list and export-control measures are covered — these are the lists most screening tools leave out, and the ones that matter most if you ship into or out of China.
Every entry carries its announcement number
Each export-control hit shows the issuing authority and, where the source states it, the announcement or document number it was published under. That is the reference your counterparty’s counsel will ask for — the name of a list is not enough to act on.

Can I look up an ECCN?
Classification itself is a judgement that has to be made against the control text. What this tool answers is the party question: is the recipient on an entity, denied-party or export-control list.
Do you cover the EU export-control annex?
Yes. It is a separate dataset from the EU financial sanctions list and is screened separately, with the country and listing date shown wherever the source states them.
Is the export-control data separate from sanctions data?
Yes — and that is deliberate. The lists are different, the consequences are different, and mixing them into one verdict is how a clean shipment gets blocked or a blocked one gets shipped.
