Free sanctions check
Type a company, person or vessel name and see at once whether it appears on the US OFAC SDN and consolidated lists, the UN Security Council list, the EU sanctions list, or China MOFCOM’s unreliable-entity and export-control lists. No signup, no credit card.
What a check actually returns
Not just “match / no match”. Every hit tells you which authority listed the name, under which program, on what date, and links to the official record so you can verify it yourself. A sanctions decision is a legal fact — you should never have to take a screening tool’s word for one.
Where the data comes from
27,399 entries from US OFAC, EU financial sanctions, UN Security Council, EU export control, US OFAC — non-SDN, China MOFCOM. Each source is re-crawled on its own schedule, and every result page shows when that list was last refreshed, so you always know how current the answer is.
Spelling is the hard part
One Russian company can be written six different ways in Latin script, and a person’s name may appear in Cyrillic, Chinese or Arabic. Screening matches on transliteration and on recorded aliases — otherwise “Gazprom Neft” and “Gazpromneft” look like two unrelated firms.
| List | Entries |
|---|---|
| US OFAC | 19,454 |
| EU financial sanctions | 6,261 |
| UN Security Council | 1,006 |
| EU export control | 920 |
| US OFAC — non-SDN | 486 |
| China MOFCOM | 260 |
Questions people ask
Is it really free?
Yes. Screening a name is free and needs no account. You pay only for what costs us money to run: screening many names in one go, API access, and the signed record that proves you screened.
How current is the data?
Each list is re-crawled on its own schedule and every result shows that list’s refresh date. Sanctions lists change without notice — the date on the page is the only honest answer to “is this up to date”.
Can I check a vessel?
Yes — by IMO number or by name. A seven-digit IMO is treated as a vessel lookup, which is the only identifier that survives a ship being renamed and reflagged.
Do I get proof that I checked?
Yes. Every screening can be saved as a dated record with the list version it was run against. That is the artefact an auditor asks for: not “we checked”, but “we checked on this date, against this list”.
